Our Commitment

We take great care in selecting, storing, and dispatching every bottle. All wines are held in professional bonded storage at London City Bond and inspected before dispatch. If something is not right, we will make it right.

Damaged or Faulty Wines

If your wine arrives damaged, corked, or otherwise faulty, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at orders@barrelheads.co.uk with:

Your order reference, a photograph of the damage or fault, and a brief description of the issue. We will arrange a replacement or full refund at our discretion, including any delivery charges incurred.

Change of Mind

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your wine, provided the bottles are unopened and in their original condition.

To exercise this right, email us at orders@barrelheads.co.uk with your order reference. We will provide return instructions. The cost of return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. Once we receive the wine back in satisfactory condition, we will process a full refund of the purchase price within 14 days.

Wines Held In Bond

If your wine has not yet been released from bond (i.e. duty and VAT have not been paid), cancellation is simpler — no physical return is necessary. Contact us and we will cancel the release and issue a full refund. Once duty has been paid and the wine dispatched, the standard returns process above applies.

Refund Method

Refunds are processed to the original payment method. Card refunds via Stripe typically appear within 5–10 business days. We will confirm by email once a refund has been issued.

Private Cellar Programme

The Private Cellar advisory service operates on a month-to-month basis with 30 days' notice to cancel. Advisory fees already paid are non-refundable. Wine included in your monthly programme case follows the same returns policy as standard purchases.
