The sister cuvée to Les Beurys, Les Genettes comes from a neighbouring parcel in Ambonnay Grand Cru with subtly different chalk subsoils that give the wine a more vertical, tensile character. Pure Pinot Noir, disgorged after extended lees ageing, it offers white peach, hazelnut, smoked almond, and a thread of salinity that runs through the palate like an electric current. Where Les Beurys is generous and enveloping, Les Genettes is precise and cerebral — a Champagne for the connoisseur who values tension over opulence. This is the last case available. Serve at 10-12°C. Outstanding with sashimi, oysters, or a simple roast chicken with truffle butter.
